The BBC has launched a childrens version of its iPlayer, showing relevant programmes, news and links to games CBBC website content and a special section called "sign zone" that allows users to watch programmes with sign language.The BBC are also in beta testing on their iPlayers for MAc and Linus operating systems. Up until now, both types of users were only able to view streamed programmes on the site, and not download programmes for viewing offline.
